Free Street Halloween Party in Toronto
65
One of the best Halloween events was the annual free street Halloween party in the area around Church Street and Welsley Street in Toronto, Canada.
People in the thousands gathered and dressed, showing off their whimsical and imaginative best, walking around with costumes and mardi gras, and in the most festive mood! For those who were not wearing costumes, they were mostly likely equipped with cameras and iPhones, trying to play the role of paparazzi, since there were plenty of willing models and masked celebrities to snap at. Restaurants, bars and cafes remained open with many indoor parties until early morning wee hours. The area was closed to the traffic.
This hub is going to show you the creative, scary and sometimes hilarious costumes which people revelled to wear for the night. Be warned, some can be darn scary!!!
The ghostly party included people of all races, ages and sexual orientations. The costumes reflected the multicultural and multi-ethnic society of Toronto where people come from all over the globe as well as are entitled to different ideas and artistic imaginations. From time to time, some furry critters popped up here and there. Ah, dogs and pets were allowed, they had the equal right to fun for a night like that!
People loved to pose for the cameras. Most people with cameras were shooting like paparazzi. It was hard to tell who were the pros and who were the snappers. But who cares? Everyone was having a great time.
Restaurants, bars and cafes
Restaurants, bars and cafes stayed open until at least until midnight. Many they are decorated like haunted houses with the staff dressed up in horrifying or funny costumes.
I was taken aback by a bloody meal tray infested with human organs and mices with a live human head on the top of the tray! Beacause his eyeballs were moving, you could be sure that it was a living creature and not a mannequin! Zombie?? Even though the effects were created to scare, you were still meant to enjoy the drinks and meals with great appetite!
Paramedics and police officers were on duty along Church Street. At beginning, I could not even tell if they were party-goers or working pros. Fortunately, I didn't see too many people who were in need of assistance. It was good to know that the helps were there for those who might need it.

Thank you for your beautiful job. I went to downtown this Halloween but unfortunately I missed it. But your wonderful pictures make me happy that it seems now I am at Church street seeing them.
What fantastic pictures, we don't really celebrate halloween much in the UK, but this was the next best thing! thank you for sharing and voted up.
